All toll roads in Australia are fully electronic, except the M5 South West Motorway in Sydney. Fully electronic toll roads have no cash booths to slow you down - just convenient, non-stop driving. Instead of cash booths, fully electronic toll roads have electronic toll points. When you pass through the toll point the toll is charged to you either via an electronic tag fixed to your windscreen or via your number plate details. You can organise to pay before you travel or up to 3 days after you travel on any toll road in Sydney. If you don't organise to pay within 3 days of your first trip you will be issued a notice to pay the toll and an administration fee of $10 or $20. All tags work on all roads - If you already have a tag for toll roads in Melbourne or Brisbane your tag will work in Sydney. |  |
