Roam account CSAs have changed

The Roam customer service agreements have been updated to:

  • introduce the 'Toll Notice Transfer Fee' ,
  • clarify processes for re-registration of a vehicle on the Roam register
  • change Roads and Traffic Authority (RTA) references to Roads and Maritime Services (RMS)
  • in the Commercial version, incorporates client consent to Roam to disclose information to credit rating agencies

These changes are effective from 14 June 2012.

Specifically:

1. e-TAG account

ClauseChange
2A paragraph has been added to say:
"If you request that we link a vehicle to your Account after a Toll Notice has been issued in respect of that vehicle, we will debit to your Account both the toll payable and a Toll Notice Transfer Fee."
16A paragraph has been added to say:
"Re-registration of a vehicle on the Roam Register may require payment by you of any amounts owed by you to Roam and may take up to 48 hours following receipt by Roam of any such payment. If Trips are made by the vehicle during this 48 hour period, the vehicle may not have been re-registered on the Roam Register and you or the driver of the vehicle may commit an offence and may receive a Toll Notice or a penalty notice and be liable for additional Fees or a fine."
20&21References to RTA have been updated to RMS
22Definitions have been updated to change references to RTA to RMS and to add the Toll Notice Transfer Fee definition.
23The Toll Notice Transfer Fee has been added to the fee table.

2. Commercial e-TAG account

"If the Client requests that we link a vehicle to the Client's Account after a Toll Notice has been issued in respect of that vehicle, we will debit to the Client's Account both the toll payable and a Toll Notice Transfer Fee."
20A paragraph has been added to say:
"Re-registration of a vehicle on the Roam Register may require payment by the Client of any amounts owed by the Client to Roam and may take up to 48 hours following receipt by Roam of any such payment.
