Why has my credit card been billed after closing my Visitor's e-PASS?

After your pass expires, it can take up to 21 days for outstanding tolls and fees to be deducted from your credit card. This is to ensure that all trips have been registered to your e-PASS. Your final payment will settle any outstanding charges against your pass.
